Job summary

Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity is seeking an experienced PR and Social Media Manager to lead our PR and social media strategy, grow our profile and inspire supporters to help create healthier futures for children and young people.

You will lead media relations, shape compelling stories across channels, manage enquiries, and support senior leaders with media opportunities. The role includes developing campaigns and leading the Marketing and PR Officer to deliver integrated communications.

Qualifications

Strategic, creative and collaborative communications professional with significant PR, media relations and social media experience.
Ability to spot opportunities, develop innovative ideas and deliver communications that make an impact.
Experience advising senior stakeholders and leading through change.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver the charity’s PR and social media strategy.
Shape and grow the charity’s profile through PR, media, influencer and social media activity.
Lead proactive media relations and social media to raise the charity’s profile and secure coverage.
Identify, develop and share compelling stories across channels to engage audiences and inspire support.
Protect and enhance reputation through media relations, issues management and communications planning.
Lead and develop the Marketing and PR Officer and drive creativity and improvement.
Monitor PR and social media performance using analytics for continuous improvement.
Measure performance and use insights to optimise activity.
