Job summary

Brook Street in Derby, Derbyshire is seeking an OFSTED Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed Children's Residential Home for 8-17 with EBD. You will drive high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance, building a capable residential team and ensuring positive outcomes for young people.

The role requires strong leadership, good knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted frameworks, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and a willingness to pursue Level

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home.
• Strong regulatory knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
• Leadership and people management to develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent safeguarding, child protection and behaviour management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and guidance to the residential childcare team.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and regulatory standards.
• Oversee safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, budgets and performance of the home.
• Lead on quality assurance, service improvement and Ofsted inspections readiness.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, social workers and families.
• Recruit, supervise and develop staff to maintain high standards.
