Job summary

Protocol Education is currently recruiting a Learning Support Mentor to join a Secondary School in Stansted. This full-time position involves supporting pupils on a 1:1, small group or classroom basis, assisting those with a range of additional needs including MLD, SLD, ASD and SEMH.

Candidates may come from backgrounds such as Education, Youth work, healthcare or social care. The school values empathy, reliability and a proactive attitude; previous school-based experience is not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND/SEMH
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Willingness to work within a school environment and follow safeguarding policies

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups or in a classroom setting
• Help pupils access learning and build independence
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support behaviour and learning objectives
