Job summary

SENse Learning in the United Kingdom is seeking passionate mentors for Learning Support Assistant roles, delivering one-to-one learning support to young people with SEND in homes, schools and community settings. You will run creative, session-based activities, help develop life skills and independence, apply trauma-informed approaches, and tailor support to each learner.

This is a self-employed mentoring position with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years of work with children or young people with complex needs (SEND, ASC, SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with right to work in the UK; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support diverse needs.
• Model emotional regulation and provide feedback to track progress.
