Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking dedicated mentors to deliver one-to-one learning support in students’ homes and community settings across the UK. Roles involve imaginative, holistic sessions tailored to each learner, focusing on confidence, life skills, and emotional regulation.

All mentors work on a self-employed basis, with DBS facilitation and references required. Flexible hours, in-person, hybrid, and community-based opportunities are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
• Understanding of holistic, child-centred learning approaches.
• Knowledge of safeguarding best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people who may have faced significant challenges.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings, delivering creative activities.
• Support the development of life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies to support a range of needs.
• Model and encourage emotional regulation.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support.
