Job summary

Prospero Teaching are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (1:1) to work at a primary school in Haverhill starting from September 2026. The successful candidate will be closely supporting a child with special educational needs. Location - Haverhill, Suffolk.

Contract type - Long-Term, Full-Time. Hours 8:30am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri (term time only). You must have Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced DBS, with two professional references.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade C.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant or similar roles.
• Eligibility requirements include Right to Work in the UK and DBS clearance.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous TA experience
• GCSE English and Maths grade 'C'

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
