Job summary

Waterside Academy is seeking a dedicated classroom support assistant to help contribute to students’ learning and achievement under the guidance of SENCO and teachers.

You will assist in providing support for individual and group learning, help with planning cycles and resource preparation, and contribute to maintaining pupil records, ensuring confidentiality and a secure learning environment for pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children's learning and development.
• Ability to work with individuals and groups to promote progress.
• Good communication and teamwork with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers by assisting with classroom activities and resources.
• Work with individuals and groups to support learning inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist in maintaining pupil records and assisting with assessment where required.
• Support behaviour policies and contribute to a positive, safe learning environment.
• Participate in lunchtime and after-school clubs to promote student engagement.
