Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking a passionate Social Worker specialising in Looked After Children (LAC) to join our team in Nottinghamshire. The role focuses on assessing needs, developing and reviewing care plans, and advocating for vulnerable children in care.

You will collaborate with families and professionals, maintain case records, and participate in ongoing training to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications

• A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience working with children and families, particularly in a LAC setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child welfare and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s needs and circumstances.
• Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
• Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
• Monitor and review the progress of children in care, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local policies and legislation.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
