Job summary

Milk Education are seeking an enthusiastic Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Croydon from October. You will provide targeted support to pupils through individual and small-group interventions, helping children build confidence and make progress with their learning.

The role focuses on delivering planned interventions, supporting literacy and numeracy, monitoring progress, and adapting activities to meet learning needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a school setting.
• Experience delivering interventions is desirable.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Patient and encouraging approach.
• Confident working with individuals and small groups.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable, organised and proactive.
• Passionate about helping pupils make progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Support pupils with literacy and numeracy skills.
• Reinforce learning from classroom lessons.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.

• Support the class teacher when required.
