Job summary

Barrie Bookkeeping Chester is seeking an Independent Living Advisor on a fixed-term maternity cover basis in Chester. You will guide Direct Payments customers, assist with budgets and payroll, and help customers access care in the local community.

The role involves preparing employment contracts for Personal Assistants, developing tailored support plans, and maintaining documentation in line with policies and legislation. Occasional home visits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience helping vulnerable individuals with a person-centred approach.
• Ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
• Good knowledge of budgeting, administration, and payroll basics.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support Direct Payments users in care and budget decisions.
• Assist with Direct Payment documentation, budgeting and costings.
• Explain payroll services and employment responsibilities clearly.
• Prepare and issue employment contracts for Personal Assistants.
• Develop person-centred support plans and maintain records.
• Visit customers locally to offer face-to-face support and review needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to achieve outcomes.
