Job summary

Boston Borough Council is seeking a Housing Advice Officer to provide high quality housing advice, homelessness prevention and housing options. You will be the first point of contact for housing queries, working in the Housing Hub with a team of experienced officers.

The role offers hybrid and agile working, with hours 8.45-17.15 Mon-Thu and 8.45-16.45 Friday; training and progression opportunities within the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with members of the public.
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with people in emotional and stressful situations.
• Good written, numeracy, communication and presentation skills.
• Previous experience using Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing advice on a range of issues to applicants.
• Be the first point of contact for housing and homelessness queries and referrals.
• Assist in homelessness prevention and housing options to resolve issues.
