Job summary

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills or NVQ level 2 English and Maths.
• Experience of working with children with additional learning needs.
• Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
• Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality learning activities across individuals, groups and whole classes, adapting support to meet pupils’ needs and promote independence.
• Support pupil progress through effective assessment, feedback and targeted interventions.
• Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare and evaluate learning, contributing to pupil records and next steps.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment, modelling high expectations and engagement.
• Contribute to wider school life, including safeguarding, compliance and enrichment activities.
