Job summary

New Horizons Primary School, part of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, is seeking a Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA) to join our supportive team. You will cover teacher PPA time and support learning to promote pupils’ independence.

The role emphasizes inclusive education with KS1/KS2 experience, collaboration with teachers, and strong communication. You will contribute to classroom and wider activities and help pupils reach their potential.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification desirable or working towards
• Experience in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
• Passionate about inclusive education and supporting all learners
• Team player with initiative and ability to collaborate and work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to cover teacher PPA time and training
• Work with class teachers to raise learning and attainment, promoting independence and inclusion
• Support individual pupils or small groups to access the curriculum and engage in learning
• Play a role in classroom-based and wider school activities
