Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as a Health and Safety professional in large or complex organisations.
• Ability to research topics and provide tailored guidance on hazards.
• Experience leading inspections and audits and producing written action plans.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team of professionals.
• Ability to analyse safety performance and accident data to identify trends and inform actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance across council services on Health, Safety and Wellbeing matters.
• Carry out assurance activities and deliver trainings to staff.
• Develop information and tools to improve safety management controls.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across directorates and external partners.
