Job summary

Somerset Council in Yeovil is recruiting a Family Intervention Worker to provide practical support to disabled children and families through Level 3 support. The role focuses on hands-on interventions, assessment, planning, and partnership working with social care, education, police, health and communities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and family relationships.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding.
• Experience working with children and families, including disabled children.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused, practical support to disabled children and families.
• Assess needs and plan hands-on interventions.
• Work with Team Around the Child/Family to ensure joined-up support.
• Strengthen relationships and build parent/carer confidence.
