TeacherActive is working with a specialist school in the WA12 area to appoint a dedicated EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within their Early Years provision.

The role focuses on supporting non-verbal pupils, managing challenging behaviours with positive handling strategies, and working closely with the class teacher and support team to meet individual needs. The ideal candidate will have EYFS or SEND experience and a passion for early childhood development.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an EYFS or SEND setting.
• Ability to support non-verbal communication needs.
• Experience managing and supporting challenging behaviours.
• Understanding of sensory needs and emotional regulation.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
