Job summary

Sovereign & Bale in Spennymoor is seeking an Employment Adviser who is tenacious, highly organised and able to support people with barriers to employment. You will manage a caseload, provide CV writing, interview prep and skills coaching to help participants move into sustainable work.

You'll work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, travel locally to meet employers and stakeholders, and collaborate with partners to address barriers such as health, housing and finance while keeping the

Qualifications

• Coaching/mentoring experience required.
• Persuasion/influence skills essential.
• Experience in customer-facing roles (services, hospitality, care, sales).
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with and supporting a caseload of long-term unemployed jobseekers, identifying barriers and creating tailored action plans.
• Delivering one-to-one guidance including CV writing, interview preparation, and skills development.
• Meeting and exceeding performance targets and KPIs.
• Collaborating with participants to build confidence and find opportunities with local employers.
• Signposting participants to internal and external stakeholders to address barriers (health, housing, finances).
• Promoting Restart Scheme within the community.
