Job summary

NextPharma Edinburgh is seeking a Temporary EHS Officer (1 Year FTC) to own the site’s Environmental, Health and Safety program. You will coordinate EHS and sustainability activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and NextPharma policies while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in safety and/or environmental/engineering related positions.
• Bachelor’s or relevant degree in environmental, safety, chemical engineering or related field.
• Professional certification in IOSH, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or CHCM preferred.
• Excellent project management, change management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Systematically reduce risks to employees, products and the environment through risk assessment, CAPAs and problem solving.
• Develop and maintain site EHS and sustainability management systems in line with policies and legal requirements.
• Identify controls to reduce or eliminate hazards and waste in the workplace.
• Ensure waste management is compliant with local requirements and drive site sustainability.
• Communicate EHS issues to management and provide training and guidance.
