ENTRUST PEOPLE LIMITED seeks an experienced EHS Lead for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Livingston to own the site’s Environmental, Health & Safety and sustainability programmes, coordinating regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across the facility.

You will collaborate with operations and leadership to implement risk assessments, CAPAs, and maintain EHS systems, training and regulator relationships while leading site and group EHS projects.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in safety, environmental or engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of chemical, pharmaceutical and/or environmental processes.
  • Degree or significant EHS experience in a related discipline (Environmental, Safety, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Biology, Toxicology).

Responsibilities

  • Own and support site EHS and Sustainability programmes.
  • Conduct and improve risk assessments and drive CAPAs.
  • Maintain EHS management systems, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Manage and develop COSHH processes and chemical assessments.
  • Support waste management and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Provide EHS advice, guidance and training to operational teams.
  • Maintain regulatory/legal registers and stay ahead of changing requirements.
  • Support emergency response planning.
  • Build effective relationships with regulators.
  • Lead and support site and group-level EHS projects.

We’re working with an established pharmaceutical Manufacturer to recruit an EHS Lead for its manufacturing site in Livingston. What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience within safety, environmental or engineering-related positions
  • Knowledge of chemical, pharmaceutical and/or environmental processes
  • A degree in Environmental, Safety, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Biology, Toxicology or a related discipline — or significant equivalent EHS experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive improvements
  • Professional EHS certification such as IOSH, CSP, CIH, CHMM or CHCM would be advantageous
