Job summary

King's Leadership Academy Wavertree is seeking a Cover Supervisor to provide essential support to teaching staff from January 2027 or sooner. The role involves supervising classes, delivering prepared activities, and maintaining high standards of learning within a safe environment.

We look for someone organised, resilient and passionate about supporting young people, with experience working with secondary students and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school.
• Confident in building positive relationships with students and staff.
• Committed to safeguarding and student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lesson activities.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with academy expectations.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Support pupils of different abilities, including those with SEND.
• Promote independence, confidence and positive attitudes to learning.
• Maintain a safe, calm and purposeful classroom environment.
