King's Leadership Academy Wavertree is a new secondary school in Liverpool, now moving into its second year. As our academy continues to grow, we are introducing a new Cover Supervisor role, starting in January 2027 or sooner, to provide additional support to our teaching staff and ensure the highest standards of learning across the school.

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and committed individual who wants to make a real difference to our students and be part of a school built on high expectations, strong relationships and the belief that every child can succeed.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide valuable additional support to our staff, helping to maintain high standards of teaching and learning when teachers are absent and supporting the smooth running of the academy.

Working alongside teaching staff and senior leaders, you will:

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lesson activities.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with academy expectations.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Support pupils of different abilities, including those with SEND.
• Promote independence, confidence and positive attitudes to learning.
• Maintain a safe, calm and purposeful classroom environment.

You will play an important role in supporting our teachers, maintaining continuity of learning and ensuring students make the most of every lesson.
