Job summary

Reed in Partnership is seeking a Careers Coach to help participants navigate job opportunities, with a focus on youth and universal credit programmes. The role involves diagnosing needs, one-to-one coaching, and leveraging funding to prepare for employment.

Based in Basildon with travel to Basildon, Grays and Southend, the post offers a pro-rata base salary with flexible working arrangements. Regular training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Experience in a performance target driven environment.
• Willingness to travel locally, and access to own vehicle.
• Minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
• GCSE English Language at a minimum of Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification).
• Desirable: Degree or relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Identifying participants' skills and suitable training opportunities.
• Providing CV preparation, job-searching, and interview coaching.
• Conducting outreach activities and attending local events to generate referrals.
• Engaging with employers, training providers, and key partners to source opportunities.
