Job summary

Arup invites applications for a six-week Mechanical/Building Services Summer Internship in Birmingham. You will join multi-disciplinary project teams and contribute to building design and sustainability initiatives, working with engineers, architects and other specialists.

Ideal candidates are in their final or penultimate year of a MEng/BEng in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, with a strong interest in sustainable design and a willingness to learn 3D/thermal software and communicate

Qualifications

• Final or penultimate year of an MEng or BEng in Mechanical, Architectural or Building Services Engineering.
• Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in building design.
• Willing to communicate and develop ideas into designs; keen to learn 3D and thermal software.

Responsibilities

• Join project teams to deliver mechanical building services during the internship.
• Collaborate with Architects and engineers across disciplines.
• Develop concepts into practical design solutions for buildings.
