Job summary

Cygnet Appletree is seeking an Activity Coordinator to join the team at our facility near Durham. The role involves supporting patients in accessing and engaging in activities, alongside assisting the Occupational Therapist with therapy programmes.

You will work a 42-hour week in a rotating shift pattern, contributing to recovery and social inclusion initiatives. The ideal candidate has healthcare exposure, knowledge of Occupational Therapy, and the ability to collaborate within an

Qualifications

• Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy.
• A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist and contribute to patient care by supporting therapy programmes.
• Encourage patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities and maintain hobbies.
• Plan and implement therapy programmes while ensuring materials are available.
• Contribute ideas and facilitate events and activities in a safe manner.
