Job summary

Care Concern Group’s Himley Mill Care Home in Dudley (West Midlands) is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead a varied programme of group and 1:1 activities, promoting wellbeing and social interaction for residents. The role supports older people, including those living with dementia, with training provided.

You will plan engaging activities, build relationships with residents and work as part of a supportive team in a care home setting.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs.
• Deliver engaging, meaningful activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and enable inclusive participation, including for those living with dementia.
• Work with the wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment and provide ongoing training and support to develop in the role.
