A Gloucester-based mainstream primary school is seeking an Individual Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs. This role is based in Gloucester and starts ASAP.
The position is full-time, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a daily rate of £90-£105. An Enhanced DBS is required or willingness to apply. Salary will depend on qualifications and experience.

A welcoming primary school in Gloucester is seeking a caring and committed Individual Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a child’s development in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Provide tailored 1:1 support to help a child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Assist with communication strategies, including BSL, Makaton, or other AAC methods (Not essential)
Implement individual learning strategies in line with the child’s Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to adapt learning activities.
Encourage independence while offering reassurance and guidance.
Track progress and share key insights with the wider school team and parents.
Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment, following safeguarding policies.
