BBC Group and Public Services in Glasgow–Hybrid is seeking an Impact Officer to manage a portfolio of grants across Scotland, supporting organisations from application through to monitoring and learning.
The role blends relationship management, assessment and decision‑making to ensure BBC Children in Need funding reaches the children and young people most in need, while contributing to the annual CiN Appeal and events with partners across BBC teams.

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £29,000 - £36,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
This is a place-based role where we expect the successful candidate to be based in the region. Interviews are expected to take place on the 1st of October in Glasgow.

Reporting to the Impact Manager, the Impact Officer manages a portfolio of grants across Scotland, supporting organisations throughout the funding lifecycle from application through to monitoring and learning. The role combines relationship management, assessment and decision-making, helping ensure BBC Children in Need funding reaches the children and young people who need it most.
Alongside grant-making responsibilities, contribute to the annual BBC CiN Appeal by supporting local fundraising activity, identifying and sharing stories that bring the impact of our funding to life, and working with BBC colleagues, fundraisers, volunteers and funded organisations at events throughout the year.
At BBC Children in Need, we fund vital support for children and young people struggling with challenges caused by mental health, poverty, social inequality and family related issues. This role supports our mission to focus on funding inspiring ideas that provide effective and sustainable positive change for disadvantaged children and young people in Scotland.
The successful applicant will play a significant role in helping BBC Children in Need achieve its aims across Scotland. Combining grant making, relationship management and sound judgement, they will work alongside colleagues and sector partners to ensure funding reaches organisations supporting children and young people facing the greatest challenges.

This role requires a relevant PVG/DBS check to be undertaken by the BBC at the appropriate level, at the point of offer of a contract of employment.
