Job summary

Edinburgh Napier University, in partnership with BE-ST, seeks an Impact Manager with hands-on digital and BIM expertise to drive transformation in the built environment. You will support adoption of digital tools, BIM processes, and modern methods of construction, while developing sector-wide skills and capability.

Reporting to BE-ST and the university, the role focuses on training, knowledge sharing, and practical application of BIM across offsite manufacturing and timber systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in digital construction and BIM.
  • Background in the built environment, ideally as an Architectural Technologist/Technician or similar.
  • Experience working with or within offsite manufacturing, timber construction, or MMC environments.
  • Confidence in teaching, presenting, or facilitating learning for a range of audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical insights.
  • Strong collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support businesses and partners to adopt digital tools, BIM processes, and modern methods of construction.
  • Design and deliver engaging training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Strengthen partnerships and translate strategy into real-world delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure innovation is embedded into practice.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to advance digital construction across the built environment.
