Job summary

The VCS Alliance is seeking an experienced leader to drive its Insight, Impact and Data agenda. You will develop a shared metrics framework and build an impact and learning system that demonstrates the sector's contribution to health and care services.

You will manage a team, gather local and international insights, and present findings to senior leaders to inform investment, advocacy and policy. Collaboration with system partners and evaluators is essential.

Responsibilities

• To lead, on behalf of the VCSE sector, and in collaboration with system partners, the development of a shared set of metrics to measure the impact of the sector's work, particularly in taking pressure off frontline health and care services.
• To lead the development and implementation of an impact and learning system that informs and demonstrates the impact of the work of the VCS Alliance, our delivery partners, and wider VCSE organisations.
• To gather local, national, and international insight and learning to help inform investment decisions and the evolution of the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners' work.
• To provide insight and learning for VCS Alliance staff and VCSE advocates across the health and care system to help them inform, advocate, influence and/or inspire.
• To present insight and learning to a wide range of audiences, including senior leaders across sectors, for a range of purposes including informing, advocating, influencing, and inspiring.
• To support the monitoring, learning, and evaluation of programmes for the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners.
• To produce regular reports which help demonstrate the impact and learning of the work of the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners.
• To engage in insight and learning conversations on behalf of the VCS Alliance with colleagues in similar roles across the Bradford District and Craven ICB system and the wider VCSE sector.
• To liaise with external evaluation agencies as required, ensuring that their insight is integrated within the VCS Alliance impact and learning system.
• To work in collaboration with other voluntary sector infrastructure partners and their Insight Leads to help develop a joined-up and collaborative approach to data across and on behalf of the VCSE sector.
• To work in collaboration with system partners, including ICB and Public Health staff, to access relevant data that can be translated into the insight required to demonstrate the impact of the VCS Alliance and its delivery partners, and wider VCSE organisations.
• To line manage the Insight, Impact and Data team.
