Job summary

Scottish Power in Glasgow is seeking a Performance & Improvement Analyst on a 12-month initial contract, hybrid with 3 days in-office at St Vincent Street, Glasgow. You will assist HR and Health & Safety with financial insight, budgeting, and process improvements, leading initiatives from diagnosis to benefits tracking.

The role requires experience in financial/operational performance, with strong Excel/SAP knowledge and the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial, transactional or operational performance within a large organisation.
• Forecasting, budget reporting, variance analysis and communicating financial insight to non-finance stakeholders.
• Proven experience in continuous improvement, process mapping, root-cause analysis and sustainable change.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured analysis, options and delivery plans.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to challenge at different levels.

Responsibilities

• Own high-quality analysis of spend against forecast and budget, explaining variances.
• Track Learning and Pension budgets and identify risks and cost pressures.
• Coordinate budget and forecast submissions for external services and income.
• Develop concise monthly performance reports for senior stakeholders.
• Lead continuous improvement programmes across HR and Health & Safety processes.
• Oversee purchase order and receipt activity in line with policy.
