Job summary

Advice Direct Scotland (ADS) is recruiting a Data Protection & Compliance Officer to lead data protection and information governance, ensuring integrity and accountability across the organisation. You will monitor obligations and support funders, regulators and partners with practical guidance.

You will provide governance improvements, manage risk, and coordinate audits, contract renewals and breach responses, strengthening ADS's performance and compliance culture.

Qualifications

• You will be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in compliance, governance, contracts or information management.
• Able to translate complex requirements into practical guidance.
• Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection legislation helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead on data protection and information governance across the organisation.
• Monitor contractual obligations, reporting requirements and deadlines.
• Support colleagues to meet compliance requirements and quality assure submissions.
• Coordinate data protection activities including Subject Access Requests and breach management.
