Job summary

Labcorp in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, is hiring a Laboratory Technician to join the Immunochemistry team. The role focuses on routine equipment use, reagent preparation, and daily lab maintenance in a GLP-guided environment.

You will contribute to study support, perform verifications, manage inventory, and uphold health and safety standards while developing skills in ELISA and ADA assays. This position is onsite.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or educated to A-level or equivalent.
• Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages).

Responsibilities

• Displays good working knowledge of routine use and maintenance of equipment relevant to area.
• Performs equipment verifications and calibrations (pipettes, balances, pH meters, plate readers, etc).
• Prepares reagents, buffers, and other study related solutions as needed.
• Provides general lab cleaning, expired reagent monitoring, and glassware washing.
• Manages the inventory, ordering, E-Workbook registration, storage, organization, and disposal of laboratory supplies.
• Performs freezer and refrigerator maintenance, oversees organization.
• Maintains water systems, performs readings, or sends samples out for testing.
• Provides ideas, supports, and participates in process improvement initiatives.
• Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
• Demonstrates understanding of Health and Safety compliance by ensuring that policies/SOPs and training are up to date.
