Qualifications

• Experience in general practice nursing (NHS) is preferred.
• Experience in immunisations and cervical screening is essential.
• Experience in long-term-condition management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine childhood immunisations according to the national schedule, including catch-up vaccinations.
• Undertake cervical screening in line with NHS Cervical Screening Programme guidance.
• Administer adult immunisations, including seasonal vaccination programmes.
• Provide routine treatment-room services, including wound care, dressings, sutures, suture removal and blood pressure monitoring.
• Support childhood immunisation and cervical screening recall programmes to improve uptake.
• Undertake preventative healthcare, health promotion and NHS Health Checks where trained.
• Support long-term-condition reviews (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension) where competent.
• Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web.
• Work independently within professional competence while collaborating with the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, infection prevention, clinical governance and patient safety.
