Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Part-time Immunisation Nurse (Band 5 level) to join the immunisation team across community settings including schools. The role supports children and families, delivering immunisations under local policies and SOPs, with supervision of bank nurses and students as required.

The post is 15 hours per week, term time only, based at Woking. You will work within the CFHS framework, contributing to safeguarding and public health programmes and collaborating with GP

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with experience working with children and young people.
• Knowledge of NHS issues, clinical governance and risk management.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of school and community immunisation programmes.
• Administer vaccines safely with correct cold chain storage and documentation.
• Prepare, transport and maintain immunisation equipment and vaccine stocks.
• Lead nurse roles, supervising bank nurses and students.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and participate in training and audits.
• Communicate effectively with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support families, addressing anxieties or complaints as needed.
• Organise workload and ensure accurate record-keeping and data management.
