Job summary

Gemini Recruitment and a leading law firm are seeking two Immigration Paralegals to join the Immigration Department at Wethersfield IRC, Braintree, Essex. You will support on a broad range of matters, including publicly funded and private client cases, with periodic mentoring at the London City office.

Candidates should have a Law degree and IAAS accreditation (or willingness to obtain) and strong communication/IT skills for a hands-on role in a respected immigration practice.

Qualifications

• A strong academic background with a Law degree.
• IAS Level 1 or 2 accreditation or willingness to undertake accreditation.
• Legal experience as an Immigration Paralegal/Advisor.
• Excellent communications skills to work with diverse clients.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and document management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a broad range of immigration matters (LAA funded and private client).
• Attend clients, take instructions and prepare cases.
• Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency.
• Prepare draft documents including witness statements and processing evidence.
• Attend conferences and court and maintain accurate time costing.
