Job summary

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a large law firm to hire two Immigration Paralegals/Caseworkers for the Wethersfield IRC, Braintree, Essex office. You will support a busy Immigration Department handling LAA-funded and private matters, with occasional mentoring sessions at the London City office.

Successful candidates will join a respected team known for high-quality immigration and asylum services, with a focus on client care and detailed casework in a diverse practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in publicly funded Immigration Law is essential.
• Strong academic background with a Law degree.
• Ability to manage casework and client instructions with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Department Director.
• Assist with a range of Immigration matters including LAA funded and private work.
• Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
• Prepare draft documents including witness statements and representations.
• Manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency.
• Maintain accurate time costing and file management.
