Job summary

The Home Office, via Government Recruitment Service, seeks an Immigration Officer in Swindon to join a professional team. The role covers a wide range of enforcement duties, including safeguarding the vulnerable, conducting visits, gathering evidence and supporting prosecutions.

Successful candidates will undergo IO Core Skills and PPST Level 3 training, with full mentoring and the possibility of occasional travel. The post is full-time and requires resilience and high mobility.

Responsibilities

• Protecting the vulnerable, sign posting and making appropriate referrals to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identifying, arresting, and detaining immigration offenders during enforcement visits.
• Completing enforcement visits, including property and person searches, collecting, preserving and recording evidence, and attending court for warrants.
