Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking qualified Primary Teachers for immediate-start, long-term contracts across partner Primary Schools in Hitchin. Roles span Key Stage 1 and 2, with a focus on differentiated lesson delivery and strong classroom leadership.

Enhanced DBS is required or obtainable via Randstad Update Service. Competitive daily pay of 141-163 GBP and immediate placement opportunities provide a supportive pathway.

Qualifications

• QTS essential; applications welcomed from experienced primary educators and outstanding ECTs with UK primary classroom experience.
• Strong command of primary curriculum requirements, adaptive teaching strategies, and positive behaviour management techniques.
• Resilient, calm and inclusive approach to managing classroom dynamics and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Adapted Curriculum Delivery: create differentiated, high-impact lesson plans aligned with National Curriculum.
• Core Subject Mastery: use interactive tools, practical maths approaches, and phonics to raise attainment.
• Classroom Team Leadership: supervise and collaborate with Teaching Assistants to maintain an organised learning environment.
• Progress Assessment & Tracking: implement frameworks to monitor pupil milestones and report progress.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: work with SENCO, key stage coordinators, and SLT to support SEND and EAL pupils.
• Parental Engagement: maintain constructive communication with parents and carers.
