Job summary

Medecho LTD is seeking a Locum Senior House Officer (SHO) in General Medicine to join a busy NHS Trust. It is based in the WN1 2NN area with on-site, locum terms and an immediate start.

You will support the medical team across acute and general medical services, under consultant supervision. The ideal candidate will hold GMC registration with a licence to practise, ALS certification, NHS experience, and be able to start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• ALS certification is essential.
• Must have previous NHS experience.
• Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK.
• Available to start ASAP.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, investigate, and manage patients admitted under General Medicine.
• Participate in ward rounds, patient reviews, and discharge planning.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions under consultant supervision.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Liaise with nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals, and senior clinicians.
• Ensure compliance with NHS clinical governance and patient safety standards.
