Job summary

Ridgeway & Co are seeking an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to join a leading groundworks contractor on a long-term project in Enfield. You will lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely and to specification.

The role requires strong leadership, SMSTS and CSCS, with a focus on safety, quality control, and timely reporting to the Project Manager on a busy groundworks site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Groundworks Site Manager.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads, infrastructure and external works.
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing all day-to-day groundworks operations on site.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and material deliveries.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
• Conducting daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality control.
• Liaising with clients, engineers and the wider project team.
• Managing site documentation, permits and RAMS compliance.
