Job summary

Ridgeway & Co are recruiting an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to join a leading groundworks contractor on a long-term project in Cambridge. The role focuses on delivering a large-scale residential groundworks package from early stages through to completion.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, plant and deliveries, and ensure works are carried out to programme, to specification and in strict health and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience as a Groundworks Site Manager on residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, roads and external works.
• Experience delivering projects to programme, quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Managing all day-to-day groundworks operations on site.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and material deliveries.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
• Conducting daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality control.
• Liaising with clients, engineers and the wider project team.
• Managing site documentation, permits and RAMS compliance.

Requirements
