Job summary

New Victoria Hospital in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a Patient Service Advisor in Imaging. The role supports the Imaging Department by handling bookings, patient preparation information, and inquiries, ensuring a smooth patient journey.

Part-time position (24 hours/week) with four 6-hour shifts, Monday to Saturday. You will be the first point of contact for patients, clinicians and referrers, delivering a high-quality, patient-focused service in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong administrative experience with appointment bookings.
• Proficient with multiple computer systems used in hospital admin.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming and efficient reception service for patients attending the Imaging Department.
• Accurately book appointments and examinations, ensuring patients are scheduled with the appropriate clinician and receive relevant preparation information.
• Manage a high volume of telephone and email enquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
• Register patients on arrival and liaise with clinical teams to facilitate their appointment.
• Provide quotations, process payments and respond to patient, consultant and referrer queries.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of Imaging procedures and associated preparation requirements.
• Support the effective administration of Imaging services using booking and patient management systems.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
• Promote New Victoria Hospital's services and always uphold exceptional customer service standards.
