Job summary

Sony Europe is seeking a Field Marketing Manager for Imaging to lead demand creation and spread product knowledge across the UK market through field activities. The role focuses on maximising Sony’s offline imaging presence with customers and photo retailers, while also capturing data for 360 activations.

You will lead the four-person Alpha Force team, build event calendars with retailers, plan activations, train staff, and report ROI and KPIs to optimise future activities.

Qualifications

• Imaging expertise in photography and ideally videography.
• Commercially driven, ambitious, and a clear communicator for public speaking and relationship building.
• Organising and participating in imaging industry events.
• Assets creation, content management and UX are valued.
• Experience leading or managing people.
• Ability travel UK wide from 5 to 10 days a month (some overnights too).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the four-person Alpha Force team, setting objectives, action plans and performance measures aligned with long-term imaging goals.
• Build the Alpha Force event calendar with key photo retailers and Key Account Managers, prioritising core photography communities and working with specialist teams where required.
• Plan and deliver impactful retail and industry activations, including in-store campaigns, national events, demonstrations, hands‑on experiences and promoter staffing.
• Drive event awareness and attendance across Sony, retailer, ambassador and digital channels, including Alpha Universe UK and social platforms.
• Adapt central product materials for the UK market and deliver new product introductions and training, ensuring the Alpha Force has the knowledge and resources to train customers and retail partners.
• Partner with the Channel Head and wider sales teams to develop activation plans that increase sales and strengthen Sony’s offline presence.
• Maintain event reporting, assess ROI and KPIs, capture customer data and use insights to improve future activity and eCRM follow-up.
