NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a full-time Clerical Officer primarily based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary's x-ray department, with cover across Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Stobhill ACH and Glasgow Dental Hospital as required. The role involves data entry, patient communications and appointment coordination within a busy imaging environment.

The position requires flexibility across shifts 8am–8pm, Monday to Sunday, and a permanent, full-time arrangement in the North Sector.

Formación

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Previous clerical experience.
• Good organisational and communication skills under pressure.
• Flexible, team-oriented and able to work independently.
• Clear communication with patients and staff at all levels.

Responsabilidades

• Opening and closing reception areas/department as appropriate.
• First point of contact within the Department for external and internal customers.
• Registering confidential patient data on RIS and updating demographics accurately.
• Use patient information systems to update demographics, appointments, waiting lists, and tracking.
• Co-ordinate CRIS diaries with Radiologist/Radiographer sessions and weekly rota.
• Coordinate appointment letters with fasting instructions and prep per waiting times.
• Communicate with patients regarding changes or cancellations, sometimes at short notice.
• Organise patient transport and interpreting services as per site protocol.
• Communicate with patients about appointments, waiting times, and preparations empathetically.
• Issue verified verbal and written diagnostic reports to referrers.
