Job summary

Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Data Scientist for our Nottingham-based R&D team working on advanced imaging and X-ray systems. You will lead projects from concept to delivery, applying MATLAB, data analysis and algorithm development to improve detection performance.

The role combines applied physics, imaging technology development and ML/AI applications, with hybrid working options and involvement across engineering and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Physics or related scientific degree with strong MATLAB experience.
• Experience in data analysis, modeling and algorithm development.
• Imaging, optics or X-ray technology knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, lead and manage scientific research projects.
• Develop and optimise MATLAB algorithms.
• Analyse complex datasets and produce technical reports.
• Develop ML/AI-based algorithms to improve detection.
• Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to apply findings.
• Present research outcomes to stakeholders and teams.
• Maintain high standards of scientific rigour and compliance.
