Job summary

Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. Nottingham is seeking a Data Scientist to lead scientific investigations in imaging, X-ray and related fields. You will design experiments, analyse datasets and develop algorithms to improve detection performance.

The role requires strong MATLAB expertise, a physics background and the ability to communicate findings to engineers and stakeholders. Hybrid Nottingham location with potential home-working options.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Mathematics or related field.
• Strong MATLAB experience for modelling, simulation, data analysis or algorithm development.
• Experience developing scientific algorithms or analysing complex datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, lead and manage scientific research projects and experiments from inception to delivery.
• Use MATLAB extensively to develop, test and optimise algorithms and analytical solutions.
• Analyse complex datasets and translate findings into technical reports and summaries.
• Develop ML/AI-based algorithms to improve detection performance and reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to integrate scientific recommendations into products.
