About The Job
We're seeking an exceptional Illustrator with a flair for animation and a strong foundation in creative design to join TryHackMe on a fixed-term contract. You will help bring our platform to life by developing our new company mascot, animating key lesson content, and establishing our visual style.

This role is ideal for someone who is not only a talented artist but also understands how illustration, animation, and design can collaborate to create engaging learning experiences. You'll produce animated badges, custom lesson visuals, and more, seen by millions. We want someone excited to help make TryHackMe an iconic brand and deliver memorable educational content.

Responsibilities

1. Illustrate content for courses, landing pages, social media, and other platforms
2. Animate badges, characters, and lesson visuals in Rive
3. Lead the development of our mascot “Echo” — designing expressions, poses, and key moments
4. Collaborate with content and product teams to deliver on-brand visual assets
5. Create occasional brand assets for slides, campaigns, and internal projects

Requirements

1. At least 2 years of experience in illustration or design
2. Ability to animate in Rive or willingness to learn quickly
3. Portfolio demonstrating strong illustration skills (character design, digital assets, environments)
4. Experience designing expressive characters and visuals suitable for product use
5. Proficiency in Illustrator (our primary drawing tool)
6. Strong design sense, attention to detail, layout skills, and visual consistency
7. Proactive, independent, and able to work at a fast pace
