Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit at Royal Lancaster Infirmary in Lancaster. Band 5 role with development support and a requirement to participate in 24-hour cover.

ICU experience is preferable but not essential; preceptorship support is provided and ongoing professional development is encouraged within a three-hospital network in Morecambe Bay.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with permission to practice
• Willing to undertake further training and keep skills current
• Prepared to teach, mentor and assess colleagues
• Post-registration clinical course relevant to area
• Evidence of IT literacy and accessing governance docs

Responsibilities

• Provide care to ICU level 2 & 3 patients
• Participate in 24-hour cover roster
• Engage in continuous education and development
• Complete developmental pack and competency displays
• Work within multidisciplinary team
