Job summary

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Registered Nurse in the 16-bed Intensive Care Unit. You will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized care plans alongside a multidisciplinary team.

You will contribute to education, audit and clinical governance, and help develop nursing practice in a modern, purpose-built unit with excellent facilities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
• Experience in an acute hospital setting (Medical, Surgical, ED, ICU/HDU, Theatres).
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care as a named nurse.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing interventions for a defined patient group.
• Coordinate and facilitate effective discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
• Contribute to development and implementation of clinical guidelines, care pathways and protocols.
