Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support ICU with direct patient care, vital signs, and daily operational tasks. This onsite, part-time role includes night shifts and requires teamwork with licensed nursing staff.

The incumbent will document care in the clinical system, assist with unit operations, and participate in training new staff while upholding a culture of safety. Education: high school diploma; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Provide direct patient care and monitor patients under licensed staff.
• Record care accurately in the clinical system and relay information promptly.
• Perform clerical/secretarial tasks and assist with unit operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Document observations in the electronic health record.
• Train and support new staff on unit procedures.
• Support safety culture and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Work hours per offer letter; may extend as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
